Hats, Hats, and more Hats

Found this pattern Summer Hat shared on FB Heart Hook Home Crochet Community by Julie Sheridan and fell in love. Julie also found some amazing yarn on Amazon instead of that hard paper yarn this yarn is super soft💖Niceec has 7 colors to choose from. So far I have used Khaki, Dark Blue, Pink, and Wisteria. The Khaki comes in one big roll 427 yards I can get 3 hats out of the roll, the others come in 3 balls of 158yards I can only get 2 hats (not sure why since that makes it 474 yards) using I hook for the body of the hat and H hook for the brim. I could try G hook for the brim to see if I could get 3 hats 😊

The hats usually take me about 3hrs.

I did test the yarn in water, I made a small sample and then placed it in water for 3hrs. The water didn't hurt the yarn at all!! I just placed it out in the HOT Texas sun to dry, no damage done! Makes me love this hat even more😍

Have also tried different materials for hat bands. In the first one, I just slipped stitch all the way around in the khaki on my blue hat (bottom pic). Also bought some cording at Michaels in different colors, braided them then just tied them off in the back. Going to try some leather beading cord soon.
